EON Ruhrgas - Johnston Platfrom

SIA are to supply a GE safety system mounted in a Zone 2 area.Due to its ability to locate in hazardous areas the GE equipment will mount in a standard Rittal Cabinet which SIA have had type tested for such applications.

Centrica Energy Ltd - North Morecambe Terminal Onshore ESD

Provision of a plant wide ESD system, SIA provided a GE SafetyNet system networked on a Fibre Optic backbone around varying locations. The system replaced a ICS Triplex ESD system. The I/O count being 2,200.

HRL Morecambe Bay - DP3/DP8 ESD & Fire and Gas replacements

SIA are replacing the existing GE Fanuc systems with state of the art MTL MATRIX Distributed Control Systems and SafetyNet TUV certified SIL 2 Emergency Shutdown systems and Fire and Gas systems.

HRL Morecambe Bay - DP4 and DP6 ESD & Fire and Gas replacements

SIA are replacing the existing GE Fanuc systems with state of the art MTL MATRIX Distributed Control Systems and SafetyNet TUV certified SIL 2 Emergency Shutdown systems and Fire and Gas systems. SIA are also supplying Flame Detectors, IR Point Gas and LOS Detectors.

Yanbu - ESD system

SIA provided a major safety system for Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in keeping with its strive to provide the best technical solution SIA provided Triple Modular Redundant technology based on the tried and tested Triconex TMR safety controller.

BP Exploration- Amethyst Provox DCS Replacements

SIA replaced the out of date Emerson Provox systems with GE MOST process controllers. The system split over the 4 Amethyst platforms, was around 2500 I/O in total.

Romania Energy - Cernavoda Safety Systems

SIA supplied a major safety system for the total plant protection. Being such a size over 100,000 I/O, the system utilises many different types of controller from ABB, GE Fanuc to Elin PLCs. SIA will design and manufacture the complete system in the Sheffield facility which includes 65 safety system control panels, 2 operation workdesks, communication and marshalling panels. The panels are all interlinked via a dedicated Optilan communications network linked via 7 HP dedicated servers and an IBM 2 system server suite. Graphics will generate based on GE Cimplicity.

BP Hyde - Provox Replacement

Although not huge in size this was a technically complex project which involved removing the existing Fisher Rosemount Provox system and replacing with a GE MOST safety solution. Recently completed this project was swapped over with minimum fuss and no downtime or loss to production thus giving the platform total reliability.
